Queen : The Miracle A1/B2 1st Press

This first pressing is of a standard that is so rarely found today.  The audio is stunning and every track grades as Mint- if not better!  The sonic quality on offer here is exceptional and with no spindle wear this FINAL UPGRADE album has clearly hardly ever been played.

The iconic cover is in beautiful condition and the lyric inner is also pristine.  A stunning album.

 Visual grading

The vinyl is in superb condition and retains a lovely sheen for its 31 years.  There is no spindle wear and no marks or scratches either.  All I can detect under a strong light are a small number of very faint sleeve removal hairlines.  It's rare to find a first press this clean!  The run out grooves and labels are also in great condition - a stunning example of this album.

Play grading

S1 begins with 'Party' and I am pleased to say it plays with stunning quality from the first groove to the last.  The sound is so clear and precise and it is already clear this record has hardly been played.  The audio is 'as new' and grades as Mint what a start!

The segue into 'Khashoggi's Ship' is perfect and it continues to play in exactly the same way.  There are no clicks, pops, static or crackle it could not play any better.  The production on this LP is so good and nowhere is this more in evidence than on this track.  The power, depth and warmth of the music is so impressive - Mint all the way.

'The Miracle' also plays with immaculate precision and the only 'background' is one light static tick on the bass line just before the 'If every leaf...' line.  It is easily missed!  Aside from that it plays beautifully and the 'friends' end section and fade out are both faultless.  A Mint- grade is deserved here.

The classic 'I Want It All' is Mint from start to finish as there is no interference whatsoever, not even a dust tick.  The definition of the audio is stunning and there is no distortion at all.  The most 'complete' version you could ever wish to hear and I am already running out of the superlatives for the quality of the audio on offer here!

'The Invisible Man' has audio of the highest calibre.  There is no interference and the strength and depth of the audio here plus the deep bass is outstanding.  A sublime version that is 'as new' and provides a perfect ending to the side.  Just to give you an idea of the clarity, the fade out does not even have a single dust tick.  Super rare for any final track let alone one that is 31 years old!  As per always every second of every track has been play tested.

The intro on 'Breakthru' regularly has a lot of static or crackle but this is without doubt one of the finest I have ever heard.  There is no interference whatsoever and the clarity is just exceptional.  It continues in the same precise way and I have no hesitation in grading this as Mint the audio could hardly be any better - couple of dust ticks on the fade out but that hardly counts!

'Rain Must Fall' also plays with sublime quality but as there are 3/4 light static ticks on the fade out a Mint- grade will have to suffice.  They are not clicks I hasten to add!  In essence there is no interference but as my regular customers know I like to be 100% 'complete' in my assessment of the audio.

'Scandal' is another track that often has some 'background' on the intro but this one is as close to perfect as is possible.  There are only 3/4 barely audible dust ticks and from then on the audio is stunning.  It plays with remarkable depth and power and is a Mint version for sure.

I have no wish to be repetitive but 'My Baby Does Me' sounds like it was pressed yesterday much like the rest of the album I guess!  This is Mint and the definition of the audio is so impressive.  You only get such a strong defined bass sound on a vinyl that has been hardly played if at all!

The slow build up on the classic 'Was It All Worth It' is absolutely stunning there is not even a dust tick!  As May's iconic guitar sound enters the scene there is no decrease in quality and the power and definition of the audio throughout is phenomenal.  Of course a 'loud' final track and yet there is no inner groove distortion and the 'orchestral' section also plays with immaculate precision.  The final keyboard section has no 'background' at all and I can confidently say this is the true definitive version.  Mint in every sense of the word and what a fantastic finish to the genuine first pressing!

In summary this FINAL UPGRADE is as close to a perfect first pressing that you will find.  That is something I very rarely say but the clarity and definition of the audio may well be the most impressive I have ever heard.  There is no interference in my opinion - the one static tick on S1 could easily be missed as stated.  The intros and fade outs are nigh on perfect and that is rare for this LP - just a handful of dust ticks on a couple of fade outs.  In essence though you could not wish to find a more 'complete' first press and the cover and lyric inner are also in fantastic condition.

The Cover

This iconic cover I am sure would be graded as Mint by many it really is in superb condition.  The top edge is perfect and the bottom edge has 4/5 very minor rubs and the spine looks untouched.  There is no obvious corner wear at all the opening edge is also in perfect shape.  The front cover is so clean and has just one very small white 'speck' and the back cover is even better!  A stunning cover that is so close to being shop 'fresh'!

Now this is 'as new' with no wear at all.  Pristine in every way.

They are totally unmarked and remain in immaculate condition with no spindle wear either.
