Description
I'll be listing some great stuff over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out. I'm mad about music so everything listed has been played all the way through (at least once!). I do try and describe every record in as much detail as relevantly possible and will not ignore/overlook flaws in order to hike up the price! My top grade is Excellent +++ and this is for a basically almost perfect record (rest assured anything I grade at Excellent or above would probably be graded as MINT by a lot of other sellers)...records in this sort of condition do not come along that often, so I'm surprised to see so many graded as Mint or Near Mint (!!!????) which are mainly completely misleading. Even with new vinyl, as soon as you drag the vinyl out of it's sleeve those annoying hairline scratches appear and sometimes worse and even the packaging has wear/flaws. Anyway, I do pride myself in being as honest as possible and think if I was buying this record what would I want to know.
Extremely hard to find in this condition QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE "Self Titled" 1968 UK Capitol Records/EMI MONO T 2904 6 track LP featuring classics such as "Pride of man", "Gold and silver" and "The fool" forming a record which is one of the blueprints for 60s psych.
Condition
Sleeve
The front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd patents pending sleeve is in great condition with slight wear to all four corners and some small laminate creases on the front (mainly round the edges). It still has sharp edges, excellent opening edges, and a superb spine which is still readable. There is very slight ringwear on the front sleeve (which probably wouldn't show if the sleeve wasn't black). The unlaminated rear sleeve is again in great condition except for very very slight ringwear and a few small laminate creases round the edges. Overall I grade the sleeve as Very Good++ (if not better)(graded properly)
Inner Sleeve
The original EMI company sleeve has a few slight creases and a bit of discolouration at the top but grades at Very good ++ (if not better)(graded properly)
Vinyl
The record is very thick quality vinyl and is in superb condition and plays all the way through without skips, jumps, hiss, pops but with a little background noise in places and the faint occasional click. There are a few light surface marks but very few hairline marks/scuffs when viewed at an angle under a bright light.None of which detract the listening pleasure. Overall I grade the vinyl as Very Good+++ (if not better)(graded properly).
Labels
The labels are in Excellent condition.
Please bid with confidence as my descriptions are accurate and honest (check my feedback)...if ,however, for any reason you are unhappy I do offer a money back guarantee (less postage costs).
