Description
Quicksilver Messenger Service 'Happy Trails' 1969 UK original vinyl album on the EMI/Capitol label, catalogue number E-ST 120 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: EST1 120-H11 1 G Side Two: EST2 120-H11 1 G
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Side One appears excellent with just a general scattering of very fine, light surface lines, which can only be seen under a strong light. Side Two is similar to Side One but it also has one long sweeping scratch mark and four slightly more visible ones. The whole of side One plays very cleanly and clearly with just a little bit of surface sound in the quiet parts - but generally it sounds really excellent. Side Two is for the main part like Side One but the more noticeable scratches do cause light ticks in the quieter sections. I can't feel any of the marks on Side Two which seem to cause the ticks and there are certainly no skips, no sticks, no jumps.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have just a few spindle lines, I don't think this has been played very often, no writing, no damage.
The cover is a standard single sleeve, the front is coated by a clear laminate which goes over to some flaps on the back which is not coated in laminate. The front has some small creases towards the edges and about six larger creases towards the opening, mainly in the area of the bottom right hand corner where it seems to have been bent or knocked -but it's flat now and doesn't look bad. The back is fairly clean with just some light browning and handling marks - quite even, nothing unpleasant or nasty.
The spine is excellent, fully readable with just a couple of small creases and a bit of rubbing at the tips.
The inner sleeve is the original EMI advertising inner which is very clean and tidy, fully intact, no tears or splits.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say that for the record Side One is 'excellent', Side Two is at least 'very good' ( maybe +) and the cover and inner are at least 'very good+'
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
