Description

As a compulsive collector all my life, I have amassed all sorts of things over the last 30-40 years. I starting reducing my hoard a few years ago and have been selling quality vinyl records, motoring memorabilia and '60s & '70s collectables on eBay over the last eight years or so. I now have decided to part with some of my most cherished Albums, most of which I have owned for the last thirty or forty years. Most have been played only once or twice and then stored in plastic sleeves in my record cabinet. Apart from taking them out now and again to show friends, they have never been heavily used and remain in excellent, original condition. In a way it's a shame to start selling off the collection, but I'm getting older and can't keep them for ever......hence here is another up for sale.

Another rare and hard to come by LP from 1968.

QUICKSILVER

MESSENGER SERVICE

CAPITOL RECORDS ST2904  STEREO.

Tracks are :- Side 1. Pride Of Man, Light Your Windows, Dino's Song, Gold And Silver.

Side 2. It's Been Too Long, The Fool.

The record is in lovely, original condition with just a few a light surface marks hardly noticeable and a more noticeable wavy line across the last track on side one. Although I can see this mark it is still just a surface mark and does not affect the playing of the album. I have played both sides and it sounds absolutely fine, no problems, no sticking, no nasty noises, no hissing or distortion. It is excellent.

The labels are the early pressing Black Capitol Records logo with Rainbow rim.

The Matrix numbers are ST2904 A#6 & A#5

The front laminated cover/sleeve is in excellent condition.  A Flip-back format with unlaminated rear side. Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., it is an incredibly glossy black with a very deep sheen. There are 3 or 4 edge ripples towards the spine and a couple of other small ripples. There is no rubbing though and the spine is in fabulous condition with pinched ends and the name printed on the edge with no damage at all. You can just see a feint rim shape at the top where the record itself has pressed against the sleeve. The rear considering it has no laminate protection at all is fabulous and looks almost mint. There is a bit of feathering on the sleeve opening where the record slides in, but generally a superb sleeve/cover and one I think that could be difficult to better.

A rare and very difficult to find 60's LP in excellent, original condition.

Item will be dispached in Protective Packaging with a new plastic cover and heavy duty mailer.
