Description
This is a
Promo Only
Quiex
pressing of the
Self-Titled (first) LP
by
Tracy Chapman
(Elecktra 60774-1) (1988)
********************************
It is pressed on Quiex audiophile grade translucent virgin vinyl and it was mastered at Masterdisk.
It was only pressed on Quiex vinyl as a promo.
Since these were only given to radio stations and reviewers; they tended to be abused and taken for granted but this is an unusually nice sample with no marks or scratches. The jacket has some light shelf wear at the top and bottom spines but no splits. There is a gold stamp on the back and two stickers on the front, one promoting three of the hits songs on the album, and another bragging about it being an audiophile vinyl pressing. A promo cut is in the upper left corner. The original picture inner sleeve is included.
It has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 27 Typhoon record cleaning machine, and then again on a KL Audio Ultrasonic record cleaning machine.
The photos are of the actual item for sale.
This is an amazing sounding, must have album and it's very hard to find especially in this promo only Quiex version.
The songs on this album are as follows-
SIDE ONETALKIN' BOUT A REVOLUTION FAST CAR ACROSS THE LINES BEHIND THE WALL BABY CAN I HOLD YOU
SIDE TWO
MOUNTAINS O' THINGS SHE'S GOT HER TICKET WHY? FOR MY LOVER IF NOT NOW FOR YOU *******
