Quincy Jones - 'Free and Easy Orchestra'. 12" Emidisc Acetate
Quincy Jones 1960 UK Emidisc acetate test pressing of the 'Free and Easy Orchestra' album. Recorded live at concert in Gothenburg, Sweden on 16th February 1960 and offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT condition. This is a pre-release version of the album that would become called 'Free & Easy: Live in Sweden 1960'. The tracks contained could well be different to the final version but I unfortunately do not own a copy of the final finished album to compare it to.
Quincy Jones is the all-time most nominated Grammy artist, with a total of 76 nominations and 26 awards. He has also received an Emmy Award and seven Oscar nominations. He is probably most famous for producing and playing on Michael Jackson's massive selling albums 'Off The Wall', 'Thriller' and 'Bad'.
Pressed on an Emidisc acetate both sides feature typed labels with track listings. The acetate is housed within a custom sleeve which again features track listings and recording details. One of Quincy's very earliest albums featuring some really magnificent jazz tracks. In superb condition which is particularly rare for acetate recordings.
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults, crackle can be heard.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition. A clear film has been added to both labels for protection.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition.
