GRADED VG+ / VG+
This is a first pressing of the first Quintessence album from 1969. A psych/prog classic that is beautifuly packaged with an E.J.Day gatefold sleeve with a 12 page booklet fixed in the middle. The vinyl is graded VG+ as it retains a lovely sheen with only a few light hairlines that do not affect play. The record plays through lovely with no skips or ticks, only a little light static and a few light pops in places though nothing to spoil the enjoyment. The labels are excellent with only a few very light spindle trails. The gatefold sleeve is also VG+ with no major faults. This is an unlaminated sleeve that is highly prone to wear. This one has rubbing to the top and bottom edges and some to the spine although the wording is mostly legible. The corners are slightly bumped and there is some feathering to the opening edge and a 1" seam split to the bottom edge at the opening. The booklet is still firmly fixed and in excellent condition with only a crease on 2 of the pages which are not too noticable and have been there from manufacture I reckon. The picture inner is excellent apart from a 1/2" closed tear to one top opening edge. All in all a very presentable copy of a very collectable Lp.
