Description
JVC NQH-1011, discrete 4-channel quadraphonic sound. These Japan-produced are among the most sought-after quadraphonic tapes, and I have a number of them on auction now. I've replaced the sensing foil and fully tested. The original color box is present and has very minimal wear. This cart features Moog arrangements by Yusuke Hoguchi, with an almost farcical variety of tunes, from the jazz standard "Night Train" to the Cowboy tune "Ghost RIders in the Sky" and some original compositions. This is not a Moog-only recording; there are lots or orchestrated accompaniments pooping in and out of the four channels. This is a fantastic quad demonstration tape, especially if you enjoy Moog-era sound. See the enlarged scan for full track listings.
Fully tested, and plays great, with remarkably clean four-channel separation and no static at all. Judging from the condition of these tapes, they were either not played at all or perhaps only a couple of times. In addition, the cover art displays some early Anime style graphic art; it's not clear who "The Carmets" are, and they may or may not be represented on the cover!
