Description
A 1976 UK 1st Press copy of Queen - A Day At The Races which includes Freddie's gospel inspired homage to Aretha Franklin Somebody To Love, Tie Your Mother Down and more - see photos for full track listing. A powerhouse of an album, it absolutely slams out of the speakers! Don't bother buying modern digital represses- this is how it was meant to sound......
Released on the EMI label EMTC 104 in a gatefold sleeve, this is a 1U/1U 1st press copy complete with the die cut rounded corner inner sleeve.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean and very glossy with only a couple of trace scuffs barely visible. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded EX.
Playtest reveals a monster sound. Blistering, full throttle and very dynamic, it blasts out of the speakers like an attack dog.....! It plays through beautifully with no issues, no jumping or sticking- very occasional low crackle/noise, perfectly normal for vinyl of this vintage.
The gatefold sleeve is clean and solid with light ringwear & shelfwear to corners and edges and some flaking to spine ( see photos). No splits, stains, writing, tears or sticky tape. VG+
The die cut card inner sleeve is present & in EX condition.
A great 1st Press copy to own, play and enjoy, fully cleaned & tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable and blast out!
