Description

QUEEN BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

BLUE VINYL #67

This is one of the world rarest records. 200 were pressed by EMI to commemorate the 'Queen's Award to Industry for Export Achievement'.

The few that come to market tend to be un-numbered and without sleeves. This genuine pressing is number 67 (of 200) and still has the original sleeve (also numbered). The condition is excellent (using the 'Record Collector' grading criteria) with only a few surface marks on the record and very light ware on the sleeve. I paid £2500 for this record back in 2006 and have therefore put a sensible starting price for this auction.

This version of the 'Blue Vinyl' has a little black streaking. This was caused by the pressing machine still having some black vinyl impurities. This is common on a number of the 'Blue Vinyls', especially the lower numbers, and is quite normal (see the pictures of the records in the article above you will also see some streaking). It seems to be emphasised by flash photography and is less noticeable in normal light; it certainly doesn't detract from its beauty!

I would prefer that the seller pays cash on collection to avoid any mishaps with the postal service but I'm happy to post if the buyer pays for the necessary insurance cover. For all postage and insurance costs please contact me before bidding.
