The third studio album by Queen was recorded over 4 months from July at various studios, including Trident for rehearsals & Rockfield for the backing tracks and Wessex Sound & AIR Studios, for the final mixing from September to October and it was released in November 1974. The band had returned from their first tour of America with Mott The Hoople and as Brian May was ill first with hepititis and later an ulcer, the rest of the band worked around his availability. The overdubbing was so intensive that it took two months working similtaneously in two different studios to do, resulting in as much as six hours of alernative mixes for each track. The band then left on their first world tour of 77 dates in the UK, Europe, USA & Japan, whilst the album went to no.2 in the charts.....

This is the original pressing with the die-cut lyric inner, the Queen/EMI tan labels and the -3U/-4U matrices and 1-RRO 1-RRR stampers of the first pressings.
  The Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light laminate rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact, in EX Condition and fully readable, the die-cut lyric inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy hairlines & one or two light neeedle marks/scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & undamaged, with evidence of a couple of spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud clicks, pops or skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, a really great, loud and clear listen.
  The matrix nos. are; YAX-4881-3U mother stamper 1-RRO, YAX-4882-4U mother stamper 1-RRR. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1974 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
 

All LP's are sent seperate from the covers in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers, bubble wrap and cardboard stiffeners to protect the albums!
    UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
