Description
Having collected classic vinyl albums for nearly sixty years I am now selling some of my original albums from the 60s and 70s. During this time I have always played the records on the best equipment I could afford with special emphasis on the quality of the cartridges. To the best of my ability I will provide an honest and accurate assessment of every album I submit for sale on eBay. I Play-Grade every record I offer so that I can mention any flaws, no matter how small, to be as fair as possible to any potential buyer.
On this occasion I am offering my original first pressing of Queen’s third album, Sheer Heart Attack, first released in 1974. There are no scratches, hisses or pops on either side and the sound throughout is rich, deep and plays with exceptional quality and there is no obvious sign of wear on the spindle. Freddie’s voice is strong and clear, backed by great musicians. Some tracks on the album can be classed as heavy rock and preceded the move towards their unique sound in future releases. The clarity and sonic quality is very impressive with no distortion. The powerful sound is reproduced with an almost 3D sound when played on high quality equipment.
My personal grading for both sides is EX to NM as there are no faults to report on any of the tracks.
The outer sleeve is laminated with no markings or signs of damage apart from a slight crease in the top left corner (please see photos for more details). The spine is in excellent condition and fully legible. The inner sleeve is in excellent condition with only a slight crease in line with the outer cover and no discolouration. The cropped corners also provide evidence of such an early pressing.
