Here’s an original mono pressing of 96 Tears by Question Mark And The Mysterians from 1966.
I fully play tested this on my Dual 506 turntable and I also tested it on my Technics SL-3200 turntable. This is a good starter copy until you find a nicer one, it’s not the easiest album to find. The album plays with light crackle throughout, but still sounds good. There’s also some scattered pops. The record lays flat with no warps. Both sides have some hairlines/scuffs, and groove burn which causes the stylus on my turntable to move around on I Need Somebody, it sounds like it’s fading out/skipping through various lines in the song. Overall the album is in nice pretty shape. The A side label has writing and the B side label has a small indent. Both labels have spindle hole wear/marks. This album will also need to be cleaned. Looks like a strong VG condition overall but I’m grading it Fair due to the groove burn.
The sleeve has slight spine wear, a small split on the top seam, the bottom seam is almost completely split, and there’s some heavier wear around the edges. It also has corner wear/dings and some creasing. There’s residue/staining/discoloration on the back, along with slight ring wear. There’s some general wear on the front as well. There’s some creasing on the front and back The inner sleeve is older, it does has some wrinkling, discoloration and splitting on the side and bottom. Good condition.
