I was introduced to this recording in the early 1980s by a bass player friend of mine. He spoke of it in such reverential tones I didn't know what to expect but when I heard it it became an instant favorite and I nearly wore the cassette he made for me out. It was out of print and I searched for it for years including at the famous latin music shop in the NYC subway. It was finally released on CD for a short while in the mid 1990s and at the same time another good friend found this LP for me. I would now like to share this treasure with one of you!
