Side one: a few ticks to start with, but getting cleaner very quickly, to be very solid blemish-free audio, recorded at a good level.

Side two: the same as side one - slightly noisy to start with but quickly gets better and better, really top recording and reproduction.  Very solid and powerful.  It seems like Island mastering engineers really knew their stuff by this time

Vinyl: Excellent.

Labels: Very good, seriously beautiful matte finish; very few spindle marks – we honestly didn’t like this record as much as some people do, so it wasn’t played much (if at all) in the last 40 years.  (Listening through now, some of the later tracks are pretty good, but we hated the vocal stylings on track one side one, so we didn't get that far....)

Sleeve: Excellent condition. Outer edge a bit worn where the heavy-duty vinyl outside cover it has had all these years didn't quite reach.   Inner booklet very good too.  Last inner page is just starting to come adrift and could maybe do with re-gluing.  Original colour inner sleeve also very good - just one small mark on one side, and an elegant little signature in the top right corner of the other side. 

We will always draw specific attention to any major defect we hear, like a skip or a repeated click caused by a serious scratch.

Please check the feedback from the previous batch of records we sold last year.  We want people to be very happy with what they buy.  We aim to dispatch all items promptly and by the most economical safe means,  in new mailers, properly stiffened.

Postage: if you buy more than one item, please pay the full postage amount and we will refund you the difference when we know.

We listen through to each record completely before listing - saving them to hard disk! - but it's possible that we might miss a minute here or there if distracted by the phone or something - any problems, please contact us immediately and we will sort it out.

My bloke and I are reluctantly selling our cherished record collection, to make more space and to make a bit of money to pay for home improvements.

We bought records mainly in the 60s and 70s.  Maybe 40 to 50% we bought new, others mainly second-hand but occasionally more travelled than that..

We are not sure what the best method of selling is, but thought we would test the water in November 2012 with a few of extremely various quality on eBay.  This is one of a few from the next batch - but it's a slow process so we may not get many done before other things get in the way again.

We are novices at selling records, but will state our opinions about each one clearly and honestly.

We will use good quality LP mailers with stiffener.

We will normally ship the same or the next working day we get your payment.

We will try to follow the Record Collector grading guidelines:-

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
