Description

Up for auction is Victor M 710, five 12-inch discs, circa 1940.

Sergei Rachmaninoff (pianist & composer), with Ormandy conducting The Philadelphia Orchestra, plays: 
Concerto No. 3, by Rachmaninoff. Complete on 9 sides (10th side is blank).

Condition: discs are in nice E+ condition. Album folder has wear on the edges, but is otherwise in decent condition. Set comes with a pamphlet of notes.

Stuck to the inside of the front cover of the album, there is a picture of Rachmaninoff, Autographed by him in 1940!

Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse).

Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box. This method of packing has proved extremely effective over the years for shipping fragile shellac 78s.
