COUNTRY COOKIN WITH LEE ARNOLD PRESENTED BY THE US ARMY RESERVE.

IT WAS A WEEKLY 30 MINUTE SHOW WITH NO COMMERCIALS BUT INCLUDING BRIEF US ARMY PROMOTIONAL SPOTS.

The show aired on the Norwood Productions Network.  Norwood produced many of the top country music shows of the day.

It comes on one lp in like new shape, played only on the date of network broadcast.

Instead of cue sheets, each lp depicts what is on the show which you can see in the listing pictures.

Lee Arnold, born in Scranton, PA, was the best known air personality at WHN, New York, the most listened to Country radio station of all time. After working at WSCR in his hometown of Scranton, he continued his broadcasting career at WAVY radio and TV and WNTA AM/FM/TV, both in Norfolk. Lee became Music Director and Air Personality at Country formatted WJRZ, Hackensack New Jersey, (1965-1971) which served the New York City metropolitan area. He joined WHN radio (1971-1988), and was there when it changed from an Adult Contemporary to a Country format in 1973. While at WHN, Lee hosted the weekly nationally syndicated shows "Country Cookin'" and "Country Line" (1972-1976). Later, he hosted the Mutual Broadcasting System's "On A Country Road" (1981-1991) and was the voice of "Country In The Air", an in-flight airline Country Music channel. He was honored by both Billboard Magazine, The Country Music Association (1976) and The Academy of Country Music (1983) as Major Market Country Disc Jockey of the Year. Lee Arnold appears as announcer on two landmark live Country albums "Buck Owens and The Buckeroos' Carnegie Hall Concert " and "Country Comes To Carnegie Hall". He then joined Country formatted WYNY New York (1991-1993). Lee Arnold was inducted into The Country Music D J Hall of Fame in 2002

Please note that the Country Cookin show came in an album folder containing two lps , four shows, but I sell them separately with two shows (one on each side of the lp) because collectors kept telling me that they only wanted the lp that contained the artist they collected and not the other if it involved extra price.  Therefore, I sell them cheaper than if it had been a two lp package which saves you money.

 EACH SHOW FEATURED LEE IN STUDIO WITH THE GUEST ARTIST FEATURED THAT WEEK ALONG WITH THE ARTIST'S MUSIC.   

       REMEMBER, This is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing.  It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!!   I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations. 

 Each show comes from my personal collection of OVER ten thousand radio shows of every genre.   Stations could use the show anytime during that weekend but since the program could never be aired again, most just threw them away. Most radio stations have serious space limitations and storing every show becomes a burden.  Believe me, I know; I work at one!

 You are truly buying a  show that will only increase in value and I am selling them at a price very close to what I paid for it.   

 As previously written, there are no commercials in this show.  

The show goes from one track to another of great world music and commentary from the hosts.   

    Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay  are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere.  It is the mixture of great music in themes and great announcing that makes it so entertaining.

  As well, it is a piece of radio and music  history. 

 Think of what they will be worth in a few years!  (IF you wanted to sell.)  I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price.
