RAMONES: I Wanna Be Sedated/I Don't Want You (1978 Sweden. Sire Records SIR 001)
For auction a scarce punk rock rarity from the Godfathers of the whole movement.  The Swedish release of of "I Wanna Be Sedated" backed here by "I Don't Want You" - in the UK "Don't Come Close" was the A Side but Sweden (and a bit later Holland) decided to go with 'Sedated'. It sold very few copies, as was the fate of the band back then.
The catalogue number SIR 001 suggests this was Sire Records first release in Scandinavia and it is this that distinguishes this version from the more common Dutch release.
The vinyl is is truly excellent condition, bright, glossy and clean with just a pair of very minor hairlines detectable when held in a certain light. "I Don't Want You" is even cleaner, real Mint -. Both labels are as smart, unmarked and fresh as the day the disc was pressed.
This 45 was never sold in a picture sleeve and comes in the smart blue company bag of Phonogram. This too is free from any rips, scuffs and writing.
All in all, this is the perfect copy for any Ramones  vinyl completist or avid collector. A genuine rarity it their global canon, smack dab in the middle of their Golden Age.
