Description
THE RANDY SPARKS THREE -- Same -- hard to find, original 1960 U.S. album, Deep Groove Mono press. First and only album from this short-lived late 1950's trio led by singer-songwriter Randy Sparks, which formed the basis for the hugely popular New Christy Minstrels. Lovely, melancholy Folk-Teen Rock vibe on hushed, downer songs like "Julianne," "Pocket Full Of Blues," "Annie" and "The Mill Pond" with excellent male-female vocal harmonies; other songs in a more typical Kingston Trio-style Folk vibe. For some reason this is a very difficult record to come by -- almost never comes up for sale. See photo for track list. Cover: VG-, 3-1/2" split at upper right corner and very small piece of tape at upper right, heavy wear upper edge, ring wear and wear at corners, old price sticker upper right front, ink stamp on back. Record: VG++, very light surface wear, overall very clean, on Verve label, U.S. press.
