These are rare, one of a kind discs recorded for Rudy Vallee by The Scully Recording Studio.
These discs came directly from the estate of Rudy Vallee
There are a total of 3 discs containing some rare radio material
1 Disc containing "The Fleischmann Yeast Hour" radio program of September 14,1933. This disc features 18+ minutes of the show. Contents include: "Danny Boy" vocal Rudy Vallee, "Louisville Lady" vocal Mary Small, "You And The Moon And Me" vocal Mary Small, unidentified instrumental by The Connecticut Yankees Orchestra, Fleischmann's Yeast commercial, "Cigarette Lady" vocal Rudy Vallee, the first part of a comedy skit with Moran & Mack
2 Discs containing "The Fleischmann Yeast Hour" radio program of September 21, 1933. These 2 discs contain 32+ minutes of the show. Contents include: "Tell Me Tonight" sung by Japanese tenor Yoshie Fugiwara, Fleischmann's Yeast Commercial, "The Man On The Flying Trapeze" vocal Rudy Vallee, "Romance" vocal Rudy Vallee, a one act play "The Princess Marries The Page" with Edith Barrett & Guido Nazzo, The Hertz Brothers play a version of "Dark Eyes" & another song, "My Fiddle And Me" vocal Rudy Vallee
I'm not exactly sure of the composition of this discs, it is very lightweight and is possibly a coated, very heavy cardboard composition. The sound is good or better and play with no skips, sound better than uncoated aluminum used during this period
