We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Seldom seen... original 1969 first pressing by USA garage/psych crew from Los Angeles who made only this one Lp...

1969's "A Very Strange Brew" stands as a pretty impressive late-1960s garage/light-psych offering.

Lead guitarist Ronny Reyes apparently cut his musical chops playing in a number of East L.A. bands including The Impalas. A couple of on-line references indicate they had a link to Columbia's Los Impalas/Impala Syndrome, but as far as we can tell that's misinformation. Piecing together the liner notes and writing credits, the line up apparently consisted of lead singer Tommy Lozano, drummer Mark (no last name). keyboardist John Mekenian, lead guitarist Reyes, and bass player Art Sanchez. Their first and only LP was recorded at California's American Recording Studio, with Jimmy King producing.

So what's it actually sound like? Ignoring the lounge act group cover photo, propelled by Lazano's likeable voice and Makenian's Farfisa organ the album featured a largely original mix of veried "in sound" rock styles with an occasional nod to lite-psych ('It Takes a Fool'). Interestingly, every one of the ten tracks had something going for it, making for one of those albums that became better each time you listened to it. The other highlight was guitarist Reyes. His isolated solos are always entertaining and impressive. Personal favorites includes the acid-y lead off rocker rock 'It Takes a Fool', 'What Do You See In My Mind' and the nifty rocker 'I Can Hardly Wait To Live'. (Over the years we've only seen a couple of copies of the album, it's quite scarce)

CONDITION: The cover: thick cover is solid all over...a TOP COPY rated MINT in shrink wrapper ...the back psychedelic cover is mint-clean. Original colors, no bends, no split seams, no writing, no delete marks ... you won't find a better copy, getting more-rare-r by the day! Old '60s store price sticker still on outside of the cellophane

The vinyl: all glossy across both sides, top copy, rated: VG++ couple of light scuffs/hairline (minor) otherwise smooth glossy loaded with LOTS of shine ... pretty carefully handled over the years, You can expect clean audio play grade ... clean ABC labels
