Description
Here is a vintage and RARE MISPRINT album from my collection offered up for sale: This is Paul Mccartney's 1970 debut solo album "McCartney" with gatefold cover, label misprinted with Mc AND Cartney (separated), released by his own Apple label, WOW! This is an EARLY 1st pressing, soon after release the presses were stopped and the error corrected, label changed to scripted logo. This music features Paul playing all the instruments on his self penned songs, cool!
Released by Apple Records STAO-3363 Stereo, dead wax has stamps "STERLING" and "RL/HL" for acclaimed mastering by "Ludwig/ Hulko". This one is valued for rarity rather than audio quality, plays through but with a bit of light surface noise, has an excellent cover.
The vinyl grades VG+, is clean and glossy, has only a few light marks, and one small more moderate one. PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, just a bit of light surface noise in some quiet spots, a few more moderate pops can be heard in "Maybe I'm Amazed", no skips or jumps!
The gatefold cover rates strong EX, is super clean and bright with almost no ring wear, edges and corners EX, binder edge EX, one small center split neatly re-glued and unnoticeable, no tape, no signatures or writing, has had minimal handling wear overall! The inside gatefold is clean and bright, no center splits. Includes original vintage white inner sleeve. (see all photos)
