PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE 1971 SWEDISH UNDERGROUND 'PROGRESSIVE' ORIGINAL

RARE!!! Original first 1971 pressing by political underground rock crew "MIDSOMMAR" who made two collectible albums, both of which are a rare day to see up for grabs when most copies are tucked away in private collections. They were on the small 'MOONDISC" label and released only in their native Sweden. Interesting to note that two custom stickers were used to 'seal' the album and it's even harder to find this album with the stickers not torn off. Many original cover have tears due to these stickers being torn from the cover.
Midsommar were among the earliest Swedish rock bands to use political lyrics as a strong focus within their self compositions. They went on to release one more album "Belsebub" which is also very rare. Their sound is simiolar to "Traffic" and "Burnin' Red Ivanhoe" with mixtures of omnipresent lead guitar and sax riffing backed by a Hammond organ decent album, although overshadowed by their next effort.

CONDITION: The Cover: the very fragile cover is usually worn out some 40+ years later IF found at all...this copy has only some light shelf wear starting (top center) and considered a strong copy for reasons mentioned. The two original custom designed stickers that originally 'sealed' the album are still on front & back and not torn off which is real rare to find. No alarming problems and should serve as a final collection item with no real hope of a much better copy coming along.
The Vinyl: very clean over both sides, sparkling M- expect it to play TOP LEVEL. Both 'Moondisc' labels are CLEAN
