The early progressive rock sound of the New Trolls is a thriller throughout. This album uses classical themes in a progressive rock setting, played in an 18th century style. Mighty guitarist Nico di Palo was obviously a big HENDRIX fan, so the movement of the "Concerto Grosso" suite features lots of HENDRIX-like guitar from him. The rest of the suite alternative between classical-like pieces, and early JETHRO TULL-like rock pieces (complete with fluttering flute whirls). The vocals are in English, and sung surprisingly well! The second half of the album is taking up by a lengthy side long, often intense jam, consisting of Vittorio de Scalzi's organ and electric piano, as well as heavy guitar work from di Palo. Make NO mistake, this is a great album, highly performed in the top level of Iralian early 70's progressives.

CONDITION: The Cover: the fragile gatefold cover is laminated and after 40 years is solid, near "EX" (excellent) having only light lamination scuffs, no bends, no writing and no split seams...
The Vinyl: all shiny smooth over both sides, "EX" (excellent) to M- and pl;ays TOP level with no surface noise...the Cetra labels are both clean. Top-end copy!
