PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. 1971 ORIGINAL PRIVATE PRESS
Stunning Organ Driven Heavy Psych & Memorable Melodic Mixes
MASON
Harbour
\ USA - (PRIVATE PRESS) - ELEVETH HOUR RECORDS
RARE sought after original 1971 first pressing PRIVATE issue from Virginia...
Mason was formed to infuse the roots of heavy rock bands from the late 60's like Cream, Hendrix, Traffic, Mountain and Blind Faith... which influenced many bands as the evolution of rock music that swept through America. MASON included a trio of multi talented musicians playing the stages of Virginia's Peabody's Warehouse and The Dome to Alex Cooley's in Atlanta's Electric Ballroom... Especially memorable was the Fan district of Richmond Virginia where on any given weekend night MASON unloaded upon the stunned crowd...This their first album was mixed with memorable melodic tunes fused with heavy rock edges and was released in 1971 through a tiny homemade pressing... Through the years the album has gained collectiblity and originals have fetched high prices as the band's reputation has spread among collectors. The album has been bootlegged a number of times over the past years with various covers in both CD and LP format. Mason's music combines the gushing organ/keyboard work of such bands as Deep Purple and the acoustics & complexity of Jethro Tull together with strong vocals, songwriting, and excellent instrumentation. All eight tracks on the album are original MASON compositions...
Highlights include the acoustic guitar driven "Golden Sails", performed entirely by Jim Gaylon and sounding quite similar to Jethro Tull. This song alone is worth the price of admission! Other standouts include the organ-powered, heavy rock of "Let It Burn" (complete with bluesy vocals and great flute and organ solos) and the long, lumbering title track "Harbour". There aren't many weak moments musically. Fans of heavy rock with booming bass, drums, and organ will find a lot of meat on this one. Fans of early Jethro Tull and heavy organ bands (like Deep Purple) could very well get into this as well.
