Description
Welcome to Authentic Rock Collectibles, where you'll find items you won't find anywhere else. Why? Because most everything here is from the personal archives and collections of the producer.
This is the only known SEALED copy of this radio show... The photos above were taken from an open set so you could see what's included but this package has NEVER been open. Yes, it could contain Schroedinger's Cat, but it's marked with that special stamp and the chain of custody is impeccable... from the producer to the producer's archive to you. This is exactly as radio stations received it. If you see a copy somewhere, it was likely lifted from the station it was sent to, so it was played on the same date in 1983 and thus can't possibly be sealed. That stamp means the 39th week of 1983, in case you were wondering. And if you are curious about how vinyl radio shows are numbered, they were meant to go on a turntable record changer. (If you are too young to remember these, you stack your records and one drops at a time.) You play side 1, 2, and 3 on the first side of three vinyls, then flip them over for 4, 5, and 6, with 4 being the reverse of 1, 5 the reverse of 2, and 6 the reverse of 3. And inside are the cue sheets and the affidavit the station signed and returned. (Yes, this is before everything happened on an app. A long time before...)
So, this is for the ultimate connoisseur of The Doors, the collector who wants it all and has the highest standards... Let the auction begin!
