Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   1. The original pressing on Polydor sells quickly for well over $500 and seldom available even at that. This 1973 British rarity has all the combinations of what's to love about the early 70's progressive art-rock scene be it Crimson, Spring and the like. 
Here is a labor of love exact gatefold, lightly laminated/shiny and beautiful as noted in photo. This pressing sounds terrific and in appearance as nice as the Polydor UK pressing. Incidentally, this issue while not the level of rarity the Polydor issue is, remains long off the beaten path and by no means common - it's not - look around!


  3. Most high wired collector circles in rock really love this style of early English progressive. Fantasy's "Paint a Picture" is an example of prototypical progressive rock that appears to be as influenced by King Crimson. In this way, Fantasy compares to Spring, Gracious and Cressida.

    The band's original guitarist had died accidentally before this was made and subsequently the lyrics reflect issues of loss, madness and an overall questioning of existence. The songs are mostly short (2 -5 minutes) and at their best feel like that wonderful combination of sunshine with a breeze. The sound is generally fairly mellow, but much like the album's beautiful cover it is painted with a diverse and colorful palette. In other words, while most of tempos are relaxed and there aren't that many time changes, there is a lot going on: acoustic guitars, electric guitars, organ, mellotron, bass, and drums all combine to form the main melody, and then, at times, separate to present variations. The exception to this is the seven minute long "Circus." This is generally considered the most progressive song in this set, and it is the most uptempo and varied. However, other collectors favorite is the title track "Paint A Picture" which has a very dream-like feel to it.
