Description
What a HOT set !!! I came across this set and KNEW someone would love it! If I had the appropriate place to play these, I'd keep them and I WAS VERY TEMPTED TO KEEP THE PRINTS! However, I know this set should go to someone who would appreciate them and use them more than I.
This is a 5 record, 59 song set of George and Ira Gershwin's best music with none other than Ella Fitzgerald singing! The arrangements and orchestra were conducted by Nelson Riddle for VERVE Records. The records are like new! There are 5 12 x 12 Bernard Buffet prints suitable for framing on good heavy, textured stock. The first pic is the cover of the box but there is an exact print of it included with the other prints. They are like new! There is a 47 page hard bound book that comes with the set with pictures and scrapbook features about George and Ira Gershwin. It is like new! There is also a 45 rpm size record included...same singer, same orchestra, same arranger. One side is called "The Preludes" I, II, and III. The other side is "Ambulatory Suite" 1. Promenade, 2. March of the Swiss Soldiers, 3. Fidgety Feet. This is also like new! The only part of this set that has any wear is the original box which is split on one corner and a bit worn in one part of the back cover (nickel sized). The glued edges are beginning to roll. The box can definitely be tidied up. This is a great set and would make a great gift for anyone who loved the 50's, Bernard Buffet, the Gershwin brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, or Nelson Riddle.
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. I have included pictures of the back of the album with all the titles of the songs...but, again, if you have any questions or would like a photo of the shiny new condition of the records, just e mail me and I will get right back to you. Thanks for looking and thanks for shopping. We've all got to do our part to keep our economy rolling!
