We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

RARE 70's HEAVY Progressive Collectible

RARE sought after ...Original 70's first pressing vinyl in laminated gatefold cover....here, the very first BLOQUE album, considered one of the best progressive rock bands from Spain....
Spanish band Bloque's first album was quite a solid record in terms of guitar-dominated melodic rock but not to be compared with their second one for example exhibiting much more resemblance with 70's Italian progressive rock acts. First track "Undecimo Poder " could be described more or less as great energetic guitar-dominated hard rock though having as well some nice Hammond organ sound. "Albelardo y Eloisa" is mostly kept in a mellow and romantic vein with atmospheric keys and a blues-tinged guitar before it starts rocking off towards its end. One could think of some earlier, more blues-inspired Pink Floyd work as a reference point. "Salvacion Por La Musica" is a rather short instrumental piece mainly dominated by keyboard playing reminiscent of some of Keith Emerson's works. "Joven Levantate" is a really interesting track in terms of progressive rock and an preformed well with excellent interplay of guitar, bass, keys and drums. Vocals which are obviously in Spanish throughout the album, and are by the way, very much appealing. "Consultando El Tarot", is the longest track and an all instrumental is another highlight of this album. It's offering great keyboards with lots of rhythm changes and nice sound effects. After three very short rather tracks, two of them being instrumental interludes we get "La noche Del Alquimista" delivering some excellent electric guitar and bass play slightly reminiscent of the great TRIANA. The last tune "Conociendo A Abraxas" is the most chaotic and weird sounding one with some strange synth effects, mouth organ, awesome guitar/bass play and some furious vocals. This one is certainly another highlight!

CONDITION: The cover: The laminated gatefold front cover is near "EX" (excellent), the back is about the same, but unfortunately has a little creasing damage near bottom pocket (see photo) ...if you can live with that, it's fine...no split seams, no writing...very colorful
The vinyl: is very shiny on both sides near "EX" (excellent) with no more than a light hairline scuff that does not affect play and plays exceptional ...hard to find this clean....
