Blind Lemon Jefferson " Bad Luck Blues / Broke And Hungry " Paramount #12443 78 RPM 1920s. Somewhat rare and hard to find. HIGH book value. The record has a small crack at the beginning of play. It extends from the rim of the record about 3/4 of an inch into the play area. About a half inch of the crack is in the play area. It plays through it and doesn't cause skips or hesitations. A few light "chuffs" at the beginning of play. The record has a lot of scratches and scuffs on both sides. Some can be felt. A few are a bit deeper than others. It plays with a lot of popping and crackling with some "ticks" but no skips or hesitations. More noise on the A side. His voice is a bit clearer on the B side. There is also a tiny chip on the rim (not into the play area) on the A side. The record finish is a bit dull. The labels have some wear and tracks with small chips in the paper around the spindle holes and a tiny surface tear/spot on the B side label. With the right equipment, you can remove a lot of the noise. NOTE: I am putting a very small reserve on the record. I am selling some other rare 78s (Blues etc) listed separately.
