Description
Up for bid is a rare early acetate demo of "STAR COLLECTOR". I believe this record was recorded in the 60's which is the period of time when Carole King and David Goffin were married and writing songs together and recording demos of them. This song was recorded by the Monkees on their "PIECES, AQUARIUS, CAPRICORN & JONES LTD. album in 1967. I do not know who the singer is but I am pretty sure that it is probably one of the house band singers where they were cutting their demos. I believe the Monkees were the only band to record this song and it would make a great addition to one's Monkee collection. This is an 8" acetate and not a 10" acetate like the others I have listed. The pictures of this acetate do not show the flaws of this acetate very well. Overall it is in good shape and plays fine with just a couple real light pops during the 2:45 minute version of this song. This acetate does have some scratches on it but it plays pretty good. It also has a little spot of the white part of the acetate showing on the edge. I guarantee every item that I sell and if the buyer is not 100% satisfied I will refund your money including shipping cost after I have received the item back. The buyer pays actual shipping and insurance costs. Sorry, but I can not guarantee damaged items that are sold outside of the United States if they are not insured. I accept paypal, money orders, personal and cashier checks. Thanks for looking!
