About a month ago I bought an old reel to reel tape recorder at a garage sale in Plano TX. Along with the player came a box of 24 tapes.
Tons of 60's/70's Rock Music. Much of it recorded off of Seattle radio.
One Tape however caught my eye because the box says " Adam Wind - 1972 Studio Session 4-45 rpm cuts".
In the box were two tapes, One 3 inch and one 5 inch.
AND, a small sheet of paper that says "5" Reel Side 1! Adam Wind -Live (5/72) Practice Session"
and: "Side 2 - Classic Rock 45's - Right & left"
On the other side of the sheet of paper it says "3" Reel Side 1 Adam Wind" And "Side 2 Adam Wind".
AND, in the bottom of the box, underneath the tapes was a 45 rpm record of Adam Wind on the Valane Label.
I had not heard of Adam Wind, but found it by google and Discogs. They were a Garage Band in the Seattle/Northwest area in the late 60's/ early 70's. They clearly had some popularity, at least in the region, in order to make multiple records. I have found where they released at least three 45 records.
So, this posting is to sell the box and it's contents. I'm hoping there are some die hard fans out there who will really enjoy this find.
I have a friend who has reel to reel players, he played the tapes and they do work well. It fact, pretty good garage band sound.
On the Practice Session Tape, you can hear someone count off before they start the music.

*By the Way, my friend with the reel to reel's was able to actually find a member of the Adam Wind Band and has shared the music with him. The Band member was very pleased to hear the old practice session and the band again
