Description
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Original 1963 DECCA Contract Pressing!
This auction is for an original Decca contract pressing of the Beatles LP 'With the Beatles' on the UK Parlophone label.
When 'With the Beatles' was released at the end of 1963 the album it knocked from the number 1 spot was Please Please Me. So EMI had this overwhelming demand not only for the huge sales of the Beatles' debut album, but also their follow-up album. It's my opinion that this demand got so great at the end of 1963 that EMI contracted Decca to press a number of copies to keep on top of this demand. I believe that Decca were contracted to run off a quantity of both Please Please Me and With The Beatles album at this time.
It's very easy to spot a Decca contract pressing of With The Beatles as it features the very prominent Decca 'ring' and also the smaller 'polo' sized inner indentation.
The number of copies pressed by Decca only amounted to a very small percentage of overall copies produced and are very hard to find!

(Please excuse the "spots" you can see in the photos of the vinyl - it was raining when I took the photos and the waterdrops on the window I was using for light came up quite noticeably in the photos)
(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG++ condition. The disc has a lovely, sharp shine to it and just a fair amount of light, superficial-looking scuffs. Nothing bad or serious, though. Nice disc! Label Condition The labels are in VG+ condition. The labels are clean and have bright, silver text. The side 1 label has residue of a sticker on the top and the side 2 label has a small scratch I'm assuming from a wandering stylus. Both labels have a little, light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
