Released as a limited edition box set in spring 1982, this was the last time (to date) that The Beatles' mono catalog was pressed on vinyl. Each box was numbered from 0001 to 1,000.  The records were pressed from the original UK master stampers and are highly sought after by collectors for their superior sound quality!

This edition bears the number "0138" of 1,000!

All albums and vinyl are in excellent condition (NM) having been played twice.

All vinyl is in “NM” condition with radiant shine and no scratches. All LPs were play-tested to ensure quality listening!

* SPECIAL NOTE* Almost every cover in the set has a thin 1" seam split on the top center cover (SEE 8th PHOTO IN LISTING FOR CLOSEUP).

These defects were present when I bought the box and was most likely caused due to rough handling when the set was shipped to the Sam Goody inventory.

The top seam splits are a known flaw with many surviving copies of this box set. They are minor and DO NOT DETRACT from the otherwise clean jackets.

ALL COVER SPINES ARE FULLY INTACT AND THE SPINE TEXTS ARE CLEAR AND LEGIBLE (See last photo in listing).

* A few notes about  some of the individual albums:

 

SGT. PEPPER- includes the original “cut outs” insert. Plays in mono on both sides.

WHITE ALBUM- STILL IN ORIGINAL "BAGGY IMPORT SHRINK WRAP"!!!

There is a large "hype" sticker attached to the shrink advertising the mono mixes.  

This album also contains the original fold-out poster and four (4) 8x10 glossy photos.

A B O U T   T H I S   E D I T I O N....

I purchased this box (#138 of 1,000) in 1982 when it was released. A close friend of mine worked at our local Sam Goody and "jumped through many hoops" to set aside this copy for me!

All of the records were played twice - once for pure listening and a second time when I transferred each album to tape. The box has been carefully stored since.
  The box itself is in very good condition with just a few hints of “wear and tear” on the corners. The silver “mono collection” lettering and Beatles' signatures are all bright and fully intact. The box is housed in its original "shrink baggie" (which does have some tears but keeps dust on the black surfaces to a minimum). This is the same shrink bag that was on the box I bought the set at Sam Goody.

All records are stored in their original EMI inner sleeves. Every cover is inside a mylar outer sleeve for storage.
