---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RARE BEATLES Please Please Me LP UK Mono 1st Pressing Parlophone (PMC—1202) Gold on Black label 900 produced This is the March 1963 original UK first pressing of the Beatles debut mono record album “Please Please Me” PMC—1202 on the rare gold on black Parlophone label with the Dick James credits … Made in Gt Britain. Front laminated flip back sleeve with large MONO printed on the upper right hand corner. Printing credited by Ernest J. Day and Co London, England on back lower right corner. This is a correct first state sleeve as the Angus McBean photo credit is printed on the front bottom right corner. Note that the letter “S” in the word “songs” lines up with the “P” in the word “photo : Angus McBean” unlike later pressings which are shifted more to center left. LP comes with the original poly-lined Emitrex inner sleeve Machine stamped matrix numbers in the dead wax are as follows : Matrix Side one XEX-421-1N Matrix Side two XEX-422-1N GRADING Sleeve : Very Good with worn corners & some edge peeling and creasing, no writing front or back, some browning due to age Vinyl visual grade : Very good ++ Audio condition : Very good + with no skips or marks with 2 pops on 1st track Label condition : Very good ++ with no writing & clean spindle hole Emitrex inner sleeve condition : Excellent with no tears .
