Description
Released by Trex Records on a label without number, this is a rare 45 rpm EP (Extended Play) with picture sleeve pressed in Barbados, West Indies. Lord Cammy, of the Saramacca Bar in Paramaribo, Surinam, performs the four calypso songs of "The Border Question;" "Shame Story Of Paranam," a commentary on lesbianism; " Gado Dado Tikkie," sung in the local language of Taki Taki in an homage to Sam Cooke; and "Alwin." The record test plays in the VG/VG+ range. The intact label is clean. The intact picture sleeve, with a long back cover essay on the music & culture of Surinam, has signs of age wear.
