Description

 

  The origins of disco (and clubland in general) lie in the early '70s and David Mancuso's Greenwich Village apartment, where he sponsored weekly after-hours parties. This 4 x 12" box set on the now defunct Nuphonic label features more of the highly influential tracks that made the parties, a diverse selection of disco, jazz, soul and leftfield music. Includes a 20 page booklet focusing on the foundations of the Loft, it's unique sound system and it's effect on the current dance climate.
