RARE EARTH "DREAMS AND ANSWERS" VERVE V6-5066 1968 YELLOW LABEL PROMO RARE
A serious hit making machine from 1970-71, this is their obscure verve debut album which rarely turns up, plus this is the Yellow label Promo version. A five piece band at this point featuring guitar, bass/trombone, drums, organ/piano and sax, interesting also that most of the lead vocals were handled by drummer Peter Rivera. Many personnal changes would occur over the years but Gil Bridges on vocals and sax would remain a constant. Twelve songs, none of which were originals at this point include "Stop/Where Did Our Love Go", " 6-3-4-5", ''Land of Nod'', "Mothers Oats'', '' Red Apple", "Morning'' and "Sidewalk Cafe". A real fine slice of White Soulixh Funk Rock... This one is also for Completists !!!!
