RARE EARTH
SIDE A: PREPARATE PARTE I
(Get Ready, Part I)
SIDE B: PREPARATE PARTE II
(Get Ready, Part II)
MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Motown Records very first Stereo press released by Motown Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1976 by Discos Banglad (Banglad Records), catalog number TML-181-S, with hand etched matrix numbers TML-181-S-A EB-CC in Side A and TML-181-S-B EB-CD in Side B, with traditional blue/silver Motown/Banglad Records labels of the period and solid center. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s etched the exact day of pressing, “5-III-76” in Side A and “5-3-76” in Side B (March 5th of 1976). Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
The first to tell about this single is that as far as I know the single “Get Ready”, with “Part I” and “Part II” as Side A and B was ONLY released in Chile (1976) and Brazil (1978), but I don’t know if versions in both issues are the same. Song titles are written in Spanish only, with the credits for the songwriters and additional information, in Spanish, “From LP 2 Hours With Rare Earth”, the title used in Chile for the double LP “In Concert” (originally released in USA in 1971 and also released as a single LP in 1976, with the correct title “In Concert”) released in Chile in 1976. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE single “Get Ready” by Rare Earth ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE and Brazil, with Spanish-written song titles, a record rarely seen and A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Rare Earth, Motown sound and Psych/Funk music of late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s!!!
This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with only some spindle hole wear and the name of some past owner written in both sides and a date in Side A, but hard to see at first sight. The sound is in strong EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant and barely audible soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS with a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 42 years which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean record!!! And don’t forget the design of Motown labels and the fact song titles are only written in Spanish!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

_____________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
