ETHEL ENNIS 45 RPM Acetate  Let's Go Back To School  Northern Soul 

Back Story: Primarily known as a jazz singer and writer, Ms. Ennis penned Northern soul influenced Let's Go Back To School and auditions it on this acetate. Because she makes reference to the dance "hitchhike" in the song, I'm placing a date of origin at 1963. I timed the song at 3:35 minutes. About two minutes in there is a lively one minute sax solo.

Very rare. This may be the only example of Ms. Ennis performing the song. I researched Ms. Ennis' discography and did not find it on any of her LPs or single releases. I was informed this song was eventually made popular by Brenda Jones on Ru-Jac Records. You may arrange to stop by and listen to the acetate before purchase.
