Description
Rare Edison Diamond Disc - "Charleston" by the Golden Gate Orchestra. This has a matrix of A-1-1. Playing surface is shiny and scratch free with only 2 faint marks not affecting play. I grade the playing surface Ex-. Negative on this record is the missing paper label on the L side, which is "Mamie" by Frank Silver Orch. L side is shiny and scratch free with a couple of minor edge flakes. Plays crisp and clear with only faint noise. Graded on a vintage Diamond Disc machine. Not perfect but a super copy just the same! Examine pictures for labels. WILL BE INSURED. PLEASE EXPRESS ANY CONCERNS BEFORE PURCHASING. I GRADE ACCORDING TO MY SCALE BELOW. EXAMINE PICTURES CAREFULLY AS THEY ARE PART OF DESCRIPTION. Check out the others I am listing - will combine.
All my 45's and 78's are play graded on a vintage Magnavox tube phono with no filters. May sound differently on other equipment. All records shipped in a good sleeve and pressed between multiple layers of cardboard. 45's ship First Class and insured. 78's will be sandwiched between 6 layers of cardboard, bubble wrapped and placed in a new 12 x 12 x 6" box with peanuts and shipped by Media Mail. I will combine. I am just getting cranked back up selling records again after moving to a smaller building. I have sold many, many records over the past few years and have shipped all over the world with no problems. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOME - PLEASE EMAIL FOR SHIPPING QUOTE.
Thanks and God bless!
My Grading scale:
E (78)
Very shiny, new looking, with no visible signs of wear. I seldom grade any at this level.
E- (78)
Shiny and without wear but may have a light mark or two. Is typically the top of my scale.
VG+ (78)
Finish somewhat dulled. Mild to moderate surface wear but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
VG (78)
What I call an average 78. Moderate, even wear and graying throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches more audible but not intrusive.
VG- (78)
Quite playable still, but has heavier greying and surface wear and some heavier scratches. Some distortion. Music still listenable above noise level.
POOR - SELF EXPLANATORY. I would only list one in this condition if it is very, very rare.
