Description

Rare Genuine 1974 RCA David Bowie Promotional poster for the album Diamond Dogs. The cover features a painting by Guy Peellaert in which the singer is featured as a kind of centaur except he’s half-man/half-dog instead of half-man/half-horse. Fearing controversy, RCA records withdrew the records and ordered the artwork to be reproduced with the canine genitalia airbrushed out. 

Original RCA Mainman Records promo poster, Huge Overall Size 43"x 38". Artwork by Guy Peellaert. Various age related scattered creases throughout the image, but it looks absolutely stunning now that it has been professionally framed.

PLAYBOY Magazine: Is it true that Jagger once told you he was hiring the French artist Guy Peellaert, and you ran right off to hire Peellaert for your own album, Diamond Dogs, which was released first?
