Up for your consideration is a VERY RARE Frank Sintara "45" (Singles) box set. Entitled "Dedicated To You", this set was released in 1950 on the Columbia label. The full title of this box set is "Frank Sinatra (Orchestra Under The Direction Of Axel Stordahl) - Dedicated To You". The catalog number of this box set is B-197. This set consists of 4 "45" records (also known as "singles") each record having one song per side for a total of 8 songs on 4 records.
The titles are:
"The Music Stopped" (B 197-1, 4-38683 (ZSP 4652)),
"The Moon Was Yellow, And The Night Was Young" with The Ken Lane Singers (B 197-2, 4-38683 (ZSP 4653)),
"I Love You" ("Ich Leibe Dich", Op. 5, No. 3 by E. Grieg) From "Song Of Norway" (B 197-3, 4-38684 (ZSP 4654)),
"Strange Music" (From "Wedding Day At Troldhaugen" by E. Grieg) From "Song Of Norway" (B 197-4, 4-38684 (ZSP 4655)),
"Where Or When" Frank Sinatra with Chorus (B 197-5, 4-38685 (ZSP 4656)),
"None But The Lonely Heart" (B 197-6, 4-38685 (ZSP 4657)),
"Always" (B 197-7, 4-38686 (ZSP 4658)),

In terms of grade, the records range in grade from Very Good to Extra Fine. The records display some very light, minor scuffing from being played, but overall, for having been played and for their age, they are in remarkable condition. I do not have a record player, at the shop, but from 30 plus years of collecting records, I can state that it is my very firm opinion that these records will play without skipping and with minimal surface noise. I do not know if the records were origionally issued in individual sleeves (the layout of the box makes me think that they may not have been), but, they are currently in plastic sleeves to protect their condition. I would grade the box as Very Good, there is typical wear on the surfaces of the box with one tear on the the edge flap in the middle, which does not reach the label, and one spot of wear on the front and edge flap, which, again, does not reach the label. All of the corners are intact and are not split as would normally be the case with a box set of this vintage. The back label of this box set shows very little wear, thise is one spot in the upper left-hand corner where a price sticker was attached, at some time and the vestiges of the adhesive and some discoloration are still there, but, it does not touch any of the wording.
I must say that in 30 plus years as a collector, I have never seen this set in this configuration (usually, what I see is a gatefold sleeve with two double "45's"), but, I've never seen this set as a box set with the 4 "45's". Please enlarge the pictures to see the quality of this VERY RARE Frank Sinatra box set. This set is a MUST HAVE for any Frank Sinatra, 50's Pop or any music collector in general!!
