Sarah Webster Fabio "Jujus" (Folkways Records, FL 9714, 1976, U.S.)
A SEALED copy of this funk-soul-spoken word original from 1976: not the British rerelease nor the Smithsonian Folkways reissue! This is the original with ONLY the Folkways Records label and catalogue number and 1976 Library of Congress number. Further, the misprinted "Judus" at the spine proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that this is the 1976 original pressing. Sarah Webster Fabio reads her poetry over the musical compositions of Wayne Wallace, Ronald Fabio, Denianke (Leon Williams), and Cyril Leslie Fabio III. With additional narration by Thomas Albert Fabio. Side 1: "The Hand that Rocks," "Sweet Songs," and "Juju For: Grandma." Side 2: "Chromo," "Still, a Red Hot Axe," "If We Come As Soft Rain," "Jujus/Alchemy of the Blues," "Jujus/Alchemy of the Blues Instrumental." As noted before, this copy is factory-sealed and unplayed: the shrink has just slightly popped at the foot of the opening but is intact everywhere else. So the LP and liner notes are untouched and Minty. Otherwise, there's a touch of ringwear to the back and a very slight crimp to the upper left corner.
