See my other auctions this week for more psych, garage, and funk LPs and 45s! Here’s a very rare and obscure garage psych 45 by a group called Powered By Love. This 45 is from 1967, and features the songs “Powered By Love” and “Ride A Magic Carpet”. It’s on the PBL label, number 1143. “Powered By Love” is a fantastic punk tune with fuzz guitar and crazy laughing, while the flip is more mellow. The vinyl grades a strong VG or weak VG+… plays great! The labels have the owner’s name, plus the autograph of Sam, the organ player for the group. Most copies of this 45 appear to be on the Dome label, but this seems to be a rarer issue. Someone posted both of these tunes on youtube, and the clip for the “B” side has a bio on the group.
