Description
Offered here is a highly sought-after collector’s pressing of George Harrison’s Somewhere in England featuring the original withdrawn track listing, a version well known among Harrison collectors and considerably harder to find than the standard commercial release.
The Jacket is marked as VG, but is actually in overall excellent condition from the front side. Unfortunately, there is some tearing on the corners (see images). Spine is fine. Very close to VG+
Record plays extremely well (strong VG+) with minor surface noise, a few very faint hairline scratches that do not affect play. NOTE: the previous owner seems to have expanded the center hole SLIGHTLY, but there is a thin marker line on one side to denote where it is expanded (literally a 3 centimeter thin line right by the hole)-- it seems this mark is to denote what side of the center hole to place the record player's spindle against, as it plays perfectly centered when pressed against that. It seems it was originally pressed off center-- so this is actually quite useful (and the hole is only VERY slightly expanded, almost insignificant but I thought I should mention it-- see image).
A fantastic addition for Beatles or George Harrison collectors looking for one of the most interesting variations of his solo catalog.
