This is an original 1st UK Vinyl pressing of the classic 1968 self titled James Taylor LP
On APPLE Records, Stereo pressing ref SAPCOR3 Matrices are A1//B1 so absolute 1st Pressing This was the FIRST NON-Beatles related album on Apple and their 4th album to be released full stop (The 1st 3 were Wonderwall by George Harrison, The White Album and Two Virgins by John & Yoko, the SAPCOR3 is because the White album retained the old Parlophone reference system) Record is an EX Beautiful sheen retained, labels have light spindle wear when turned to the light but otherwise clean and crisp. Theres one mark on track 2 side 1 which will cause a few clicks, other than that theres a couple of very very light surface marks which barely cause a crackle. Beautiful copy Inner sleeve is a plain white 'Plastic Bags can be Dangerous' type - Poly Lined - EX Outer Sleeve is a Good - Laminated outer with a single ply front sleeve.Back sleeve has a triple flip inner. Pinched spine (the narrow kind) has the writing perfectly visible, very little wear there. The other side though has a few breaks in the laminate and has been flattened over time. At the bottom left of the front the laminate has come away from the sleeve too though
intact. Theres a little light creasing generally and some wear to the top of the single ply side. Inner Gatefold has a small name written in pen at the top and some yellowing where once sellotape has been. Nonetheless, a great album start to finish a proper lost gem if you havent heard it Tracks are as follows: Dont Talk Now Somethings Wrong Knocking Round The Zoo Sunshine, Sunshine Takin It in Something in the way Carolina in My Mind Brighten Your night with my day Night Owl Rainy Day Man Circle Round The Sun Blues is just a bad dream PLEASE NOTE - Postage is based on UK Recorded Delivery PLEASE ASK for overseas postage before bidding as there are some countries I will not post to
I use the Record Collector Grading Criteria which is as follows: Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound
quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in
perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in
sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal
wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated,
perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from
folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
