Description

"JUBILEE" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS DURING WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

"Jubilee" radio program #176 from circa 1946 with Gerald Wilson & His Orchestra, Ernie Andrews, Two Counts And A Countess, Juan Rolando, Ernie "Bubbles" Whitman (host)

Gerald Wilson & His Orchestra perform "Cruisin' With Cab", "Come Sunday", "Groovin High", "One O'Clock Jump" (intro/closing theme)

Ernie Andrews sings "A Ghost Of A Chance" most likely with Gerald Wilson Orchestra

Juan Rolando performs "These Foolish Things" on Hammond organ & piano.  Juan Rolando would go on to have a successful career performing as "Korla Pandit"

Two Counts And A Countess perform "You Knock Me Out" & "Rip Out The Joint".  The names of this group are not identified and the trio consists of guitar, bass and "The Countess At The Piano".  Both songs include vocal

Members of Gerald Wilson's orchestra that are introduced by Wilson include Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Hobart Dotson & Jimmy Bunn

Disc is in Excellent or Better Condition with Excellent or Better Sound, Beautiful Disc!
