Description
"Jubilee" radio show transcription disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service. One complete 30 minute radio program on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to Armed Forces Radio Service stations for broadcast to U. S. troops during World War Two and not available to the general public, very rare!
"Jubilee" radio program #64 from circa 1944 with Tiny Bradshaw & His Orchestra, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Dorothy Donegan, Wingy Manone, Ernie "Bubbles" Whitman (host)

2. "Boogie Woogie Medley" played by Dorothy Donegan on piano
3. "Jersey Bounce" Tiny Bradshaw & His Orchestra, with vocal most likely by Tiny Bradshaw
4. "People Will Say We're In Love" Tiny Bradshaw & His Orchestra. Billy Ford is introduced and is most likely the vocalist
5. "This Train" vocal and guitar by Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Possibly accompanied by members of Tiny Bradshaw's Orchestra
6. "Deacon Jones" vocal and trumpet by Wingy Manone, possibly with Tiny Bradshaw's Orchestra
7. "Shoo Shoo Baby" Tiny Bradshaw Orchestra with vocal most likely by Tiny Bradshaw
This disc has some water marks which are visible in the photos. With exception to the water marks the disc would be in EX- condition, however the visual grading would be lower, VG/VG+ due to these marks. The sound however is EX-/EX, I don't hear the effects of these water marks. This disc sounded far better than it's condition, and far better than what I expected!
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer
