In honor of the Grateful Dead's 50th Anniversary in 2015, some friends and I are parting with some precious, and in some cases one-of-a-kind, memorabilia. Many of these items were enjoyed for many years; others were stored away for decades untouched. Looking forward to sharing our memories with you as we all celebrate this long, strange trip (and declutter along the way).
This is a truly unique collectible! This album was pressed and distributed to radio stations across the US when the Jerry Garcia Band toured in November, 1991. They had recently released a new (now out of print) live CD that August. I have never seen one of these for sale here before, nor can I find a trace of one. Even my go-to site, deaddisc.com, has no info on it. You can fill them in!
On Side A is Scott Muni, the late legendary WNEW DJ, conducting a 26-minute interview with Jerry, with questions written by David Gans. Side B has a track with Jerry telling a story about Melvin Seals, and snippets of songs from the new CD and a few other treasures. The back of the album cover has all of the Fall '91 tour dates.
This is David Gans' personal copy of this album. He is selling some of his precious memorabilia to fund a new recording project!
